We've created this group to help Philly-area Makers find each other, share skills, collaborate on projects, and find resources. We consider "Making" to be anything that includes shaping physical material for creative expression, invention, problem-solving, or profit - but which involves technology at some stage. We love projects that explore the interplay of art and technology. For instance using software to design hand-made goods, putting electronics into clothing or sculpture are more in keep …
This group is for everyone interested in building flying robots (a/k/a UAV, UAS, or Drone). We have a bias towards using open source platforms such as Ardupilot, Paparrazzi, Gluon, etc, but all are welcome.
We want to foster an environment where individuals can come together to share knowledge and build on the ideas of others. Instead of just having that one thread, you think about it, I come up with an idea, and then somebody from somewhere else says, "Oh that makes me think we should do this and then we could do that." A …

Looking out from the dawn of the civilian drone revolution, we feel that it is important to show how this technology is used for much more than warfare and surveillance. Through art shows, community involvement and public speaking engagements, we are attempting to show the world a new meaning to the word "drone" and remove some of its negative associations. Baltimore Drones is looking for other people in the area that may be interested in learning more about how to design, build and fly their ow …
