We've created this group to help Philly-area Makers find each other, share skills, collaborate on projects, and find resources. We consider "Making" to be anything that includes shaping physical material for creative expression, invention, problem-solving, or profit - but which involves technology at some stage. We love projects that explore the interplay of art and technology. For instance using software to design hand-made goods, putting electronics into clothing or sculpture are more in keep …

I wanted to create a group for people who are have knowledge of low-level aspects of computing to share code, programming techniques, and explanations for why things work the way they do. The idea is for people who have really delved into a software topic at a low level to share what they have learned. If you know assembly and can help explain how to use the timer interrupts for PWM on an Arduino, then we'd love to hear you speak. If you have insight on how TCP is implemented in the kernel, …

We want to foster an environment where individuals can come together to share knowledge and build on the ideas of others. Our motivation to start this group is to incorporate "Design Thinking" into our meetups. The big thing about design thinking is it allows people to build on the ideas of others. Instead of just having that one thread, you think about it, I come up with an idea, and then somebody from somewhere else says, "Oh that makes me think we should do this and then we could do that." A …
